luke 8 women

I was privileged to begin this week by meeting with two businesswomen who are passionate about making disciples of lost people. They reminded me of the women I read about in Luke 8:1-3.

“After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who … were helping to support them out of their own means.”

Much like these women, the businesswomen I met are doing everything they can with everything they have to advance the mission of Jesus.

Here are a few examples:

  • They are converting one of their properties into a children’s theater in order to reach moms, in order to reach dads, in order to reach families.
  • They are using their own funds and contacts to build a nation-wide network of disciple-making businesswomen.
  • They are dreaming of reaching the nations by reaching international tourists.

These women are leaders on mission in service to the King. My only hope is that God would bless me to serve them!

Your turn: who are the reproducing, disciple-making, Luke 8 women that God may be calling you to serve?
